About Jason Valadez, LAC

As an Arkansas-based Licensed Associate Counselor, I specialize in supporting veterans, first responders, and individuals processing trauma or stress. As a retired military veteran and former law enforcement officer, I bring authentic, firsthand understanding of the unique professional and personal demands my clients face.

My virtual practice offers a safe, private space to address trauma, addiction, and daily stressors. We will focus on your strengths and work at a pace that respects your choices, proving that small steps truly create lasting change.

How I Help

My practice prioritizes your autonomy, focusing on building actionable, strength-based tools for lasting change.

Primary Focus Areas:

  • Anxiety & Chronic Stress: Quieting the overwhelming noise of daily anxiety, panic, and persistent worry so you can find stability and peace of mind.

  • Depression & Identity Loss: Navigating the heavy weight of low motivation, persistent sadness, and difficult life transitions to help you reclaim your purpose.

  • Complex Trauma & PTSD: Processing the lasting neurophysiological impacts of critical incidents, distressing life events, and operational stress.

  • Substance Use & Addiction Recovery: Providing compassionate, structured support to help you manage cravings, break cycles, and build sustainable lifestyle tools.

  • Uniform Personnel & Family Dynamics: Culturally informed care addressing the unique professional burdens, moral injuries, and household stress felt by veterans, first responders, and their families.

  • Moral Injury: Providing a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and heal the deep emotional and spiritual distress, guilt, or shame caused by high-stakes situations that violate your core values.

Our Clinical Tools:

  • Brainspotting (For deep trauma and emotional processing)

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) (For values-based living and mental flexibility)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) (For emotional regulation and crisis management)

  • Existential Therapy (For navigating identity shifts and finding meaning)
